What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash in Peruvian soles and U.S. dollars, digital wallets (Plin and Yape), and major debit/credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club. No surcharges on card payments — ever.

I booked through Booking.com — how and when do I pay?

If you reserved via Booking.com, payment is handled directly at the hotel during your stay. We'll take care of everything smoothly at check-in.

Can I pay in soles even if the rate is listed in dollars?

Absolutely. If the online rate displays in U.S. dollars, you're welcome to pay in Peruvian soles at the exchange rate in effect on the day.

Do you issue receipts and invoices? What do you need?

Yes. We issue a receipt (boleta) with your DNI or passport, and a tax invoice (factura) with RUC. If you need an invoice, please share your billing details in advance so we can issue it without delay.

Is there a cancellation fee?

No — cancellation is completely free, so you can adjust your plans without worry.

I left a deposit and need to cancel — do I get it back?

Deposits are non-refundable, but they don't disappear. Your deposit becomes a credit on your account, valid for 365 days, which you can put toward a future stay.

Check-in, check-out and airport transfer

What time is check-in?

Check-in begins at 2:00 pm. Our team will be ready to welcome you and get you settled in as quickly as possible.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is by 12:00 noon. If you need a different time, let us know and we'll see what we can do based on availability.

Is airport transfer really free?

Yes — we provide complimentary transfers from Iquitos Airport, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All we ask is that you send your flight details at least 24 hours before arrival so we can be there on time.

What if I give less than 24 hours' notice for the transfer?

With less than 24 hours' notice the transfer is subject to availability and carries a S/ 30 fee. We'll always try our best and confirm as soon as possible.

Can I leave my luggage if I'm early or checking out early?

Of course. Store your bags with us at no charge — before check-in or after check-out — and make the most of your time in Iquitos.

Do you offer early check-in?

Yes. Early check-in is available from 5:00 am at 50% of the daily rate, subject to availability. Great if you're arriving on an early morning flight and want to rest right away.

Do you offer late check-out?

Yes. You can stay until 6:00 pm for 50% of the daily rate, subject to availability. We recommend requesting it in advance so we can confirm.

Is breakfast really included?

Yes — every reservation includes our buffet breakfast, prepared fresh each morning to start your day right.

What are the breakfast hours?

Breakfast is served from 6:00 to 9:30 am daily.

What kind of breakfast is it?

A spread of local Amazonian, Peruvian and international options — something for every palate and appetite.

Can you accommodate vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free diets?

Yes. We have vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. If you need something specific, just let us know when you arrive and we'll coordinate with our chef, subject to availability.

Can non-guests join breakfast?

Yes. External guests are welcome at the buffet for S/ 15 per person, subject to seating capacity.

Can I get breakfast to go?

Yes — if you have an early morning ahead, we can arrange a takeaway breakfast. Just coordinate with reception the evening before.

Rooms and WiFi

What's included in every room?

Every room has air conditioning, a private bathroom with hot water, cable TV, an in-room safe, a hair dryer and electric mosquito repellers — everything for a comfortable, worry-free stay in the Amazon.

Is the hotel smoke-free?

Yes — Bora Hotel is 100% smoke-free. Smoking inside the rooms is not permitted. A S/ 100 fine applies for violations.

Is there a designated smoking area?

Yes. Smokers can use our dedicated terrace on the 5th floor.

How fast is the WiFi?

Our free WiFi runs at approximately 20–40 Mbps throughout the hotel — comfortably fast for remote work, streaming and video calls.

Is there space for remote work?

Yes. Aside from the desks in every room, you're welcome to use our restaurant as a co-working space between 10:00 am and 11:00 pm.

Location, safety and visitors

Where exactly are you located?

We're in a safe, patrolled neighborhood just 3 blocks (about 400 meters) from Iquitos's Plaza de Armas — within easy reach of restaurants, attractions and services.

What security measures are in place?

The hotel has security cameras and a 24-hour front desk, so there's always someone available if you need anything.

Do you lock the doors at night?

The front doors are closed between midnight and 5:00 am, but our reception team can let you in at any time — just ring the bell when you get back.

Are there quiet hours?

Yes. We observe quiet hours from midnight to 6:00 am so all our guests can sleep well.

Can I have visitors?

Yes. Adult visitors are welcome; they just need to present ID at reception when they arrive.

Are pets allowed?

We don't accept pets. The only exception is certified service or guide animals.

Do I need a yellow fever vaccination?

While not strictly required for entry to Peru, yellow fever vaccination is strongly recommended for the Amazon region. Consult your doctor at least 10 days before travel.

Is Iquitos safe for tourists?

Yes, Iquitos is generally safe for tourists. As with any travel destination, take standard precautions: avoid displaying valuables, use registered taxis, and stay in well-lit areas at night. Our staff is always available to help with safe transportation.
